Who Knows What Tomorrow Brings

Tomorrow will bring the beginning of an end. I guess every day really does, but tomorrow specifically brings an end to an independent life of nearly 90 years. The Gram situation has been ever changing and has warped into a stressful mess. Montana, it seems, has pretty much nothing on the books law wise to help families in this kind of situation. That is so wrong and needs to change. I'll be putting my thinking cap on to see if I can't figure out a way to campaign for something.
Anyway. Tomorrow brings my aunt and uncle in law back. To "place" Gram into an assisted living type thingy. I haven't seen the place yet but will go see it tomorrow. I can't quite decide how I feel about this. On one hand, I know we're at the end of our collective ropes. Then again, this just feels so sneaky and wrong. I will have nothing to do with this personally. I want Gram to still think of me as on her side cause I can guarantee she'll be beyond upset with everyone else.

I can only pray that this is a solution that will,in the long run, benefit everyone.

Hangin' with the inlaws

We had a brief window of time to see Aunt Brenda and Uncle John. They spent most of their time with Gram and I'm sorry the time wasn't better. Although as far as I've heard neither of them got a death threat so really, it went OK.

We did a BBQ thing Saturday and it was pretty nice. Gram was in a pretty good mood.

Time to chow down :)

And below you can see what 4 days of Graminess does to you-tires you out!

New Beginnings

Have you ever really been unhappy in everything?
I am. I know part of this stems from not being on my thyroid meds for 2 years. I've been back on them for a week and am starting to feel a little more normal. For the first time in 2 years I actually went out and worked in the gardens. Not just pull a weed and be done but actual work. I've aching muscles and a sunburn.(hubby called me Bob the Tomato)

I've let things slide around me. Between dealing with Gram and the stress of having a teen aged daughter I DO NOT UNDERSTAND, nothing around me is good or healthy. I can't take all the blame since dearest hubby has let things slide too. I think on this long weekend we've taken the steps to put things right again. He's always been my best friend and now hopefully I'll feel married again too. I'm trying to figure out the right words to use with my daughter. I feel...hopeful. I haven't felt that in such a long time.

My cousin told me that I need to take a moment every single day to think of one good thing that happened;something that made me smile. I've been trying to do just that and I feel better for that too. I hope you all remember to stop at appreciate the little things.
